About Us
We are Yvonne and Rob ( Master Dog Breeders Association 19144.
We are dedicated Australian Cobberdog breeders. Dogs are our life, world and passion.
We are focussed on breeding amazing dogs with beautiful temperaments and good health to make much loved family pets or dogs that have potential for therapy or assistance work. Australian Cobberdogs have been bred to be well rounded people friendly dogs. They are intuitive, calm, happy, goofy at times,as they love to make us laugh, non aggressive, non shedding and love to be with their families. Our aim is to breed pups that are true to type and that have consistently stable and beautiful temperaments. Our main focus over the coming years will be temperament. A beautifully natured dog will outshine every colour there is. It wont matter if they are red, white, black or brown if their temperament is amazing you will not see colour you will just see them. Of course we have some gorgeous looking dogs but that won't be our main focus. Our second very important priority is now hip health. This is something we have been learning about and has become a priority for us, moving forward all new dogs and those kept in our breeding program as guardians will be hip and elbow scored and only those that can help us better the breed will move forward with us.
We are also focussed on giving the dogs we have here the best lives that we can. Spoiling these beauties when we are on breaks. We think its only fair that the dogs bestowing joy on families through their offspring should also live full lives, with lots of fun and laughter. We want to educate families that they need to look behind the pretty puppy photos and care about the lives of the parent dogs. What are their lives like, how many litters has the female dog had. We want people to take note about the parents its important to us that dogs are valued and respected and families asking these questions and caring about the lives of the parent dogs will help hold breeders accountable and will help every breeding dogs welfare. We hope people can see the great lives our dogs have we have many photos and videos on social media showing our dogs lives. Our girls arent overbred they are loved , valued and respected like they should be. Currently we have medium to large medium dogs but in the near future we hope to begin breeding a small medium line as well.
To us cobberdogs are the whole package, friendly, social, happy dogs who love human contact. That being said they are not boring at all, they love to be clowns they are goofy and funny, making them a great choice for families. They also genrally love water and are up for just about anything. If you have been looking for the perfect family dog, well this is pretty much it,,,we are so happy to be developing this breed.
