Scawoo Axl Rose is a beautiful gold parti australian cobberdog. he is small medium in size, 12.3 kg and around 44 cm at the withers. He has a gorgeous light density straight coat and is a gentle, sweet, friendly and playful boy.
The amazing Axl is one of two dogs that live with us permenantly at Scawoo. We chose Axl from last years litter from Astrid and Whiskey and Axl's grand daddy is Asa. His pedigree beholds an array of wonderful heritage combined with some new exciting bloodlines to add some diversity and to cement some wonderful temperament traits and a healthy structure that we have been working on.
We absolutely LOVE Axl. He’s a fantastic cobber through and through. Still young at just over a year old, Axl is maturing into a truly beautiful dog — sweet, kind, and full of heart. He adores water and never says no to an occasional game of ball. He was retained just as we were heading into a break, and from 9 weeks to 6 months old, Axl travelled with us and his buddy Zorro. Life on the road, caravanning together, helped shape his calm, confident nature — nothing phased him, and he took it all in his stride.
Of course, holidays don’t last forever! Once we returned, Axl spent several months with us while we were raising litters. During this time, he naturally stepped into the role of a nurturing companion. His gentle and playful manner made him the perfect helper in socialising our puppies once they reached six weeks. Uncle Axl, as he’ll be known to all future Scawoo pups, is going to be a big asset in their early development.
Axl is an example of where we are going with the breed, years of work in the making and now he gets to help progress the breed further.
Axl is a small medium and has now completed his hip exam and we have been thrilled with the result.
He has some of the tightest hips in the breed, which is so important and makes him an all round good cobber, a very important one at that.
Axl is a gold parti. This means his coat colour is gold but because he is parti (which is the white part) his gold is in a few patches. However for breeding purpposes his colour is gold and he will only produce other parti pups when paired with a female who is parti or carries parti. When paired with a solid coated girl he will give his gold colour plus small amounts of white, chest, toes or chin.
We are so excited to see Axl help the breed progress. With his squeaky clean DNA, his light density straight coat, his beautiful temperament traits and some nice tight hips, he has so much to contribute. We just love this boy!

Axl
Axl as a teeny tiny puppy Parti puppies are often born with light markings that get darker and bigger over time.
Axl soon discovered that he particularly liked dams, rivers and creeks. He swims beautiful, a natural swimmer. Most cobberdogs love water.

Of course the girls all love Axl. He is cuddly, affectionate and fun.
Axl is happy to just be with his humans. But if a game or adventure is on offer then he has a very playful, goofy, happy nature too.
